WHO WE ARE
We are invested in providing the best rugby experience for any child who wants to try rugby. This is why we are here. This Club is a rugby family, and we hope you will want to join us and participate in supporting the Trumbull High Rugby Team!
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Trumbull Eagles Rugby Club is to support and enhance the Trumbull Connecticut High School rugby program through charitable and educational means.
Our specific goals include:
a) To provide a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes community involvement, personal growth and an enhanced quality of life for players;
b) To promote the growth of players, both on and off the field;
c) To promote goodwill and attendance at all games;
d) To identify and promote opportunities to financially support the rugby program.;
e) To keep open lines of communication between the parents/guardians and the Club;
f) To inform the general membership of Club activities and local news;
g) To promote and assist with the continuing education and opportunities for the players.

My love of rugby started when I started playing in High School. I was a new kid in a strange land, and the minute I joined the team I had 20 new friends. That theme would continue into adulthood. When I moved to Connecticut not knowing anyone and joined the Connecticut Yankees. Once again, I went from knowing no one to having 30 new friends and contacts. The
President: Linda Smith
Linda’s first experience with rugby was through her husband who was a rugby player and aficionado. She became an aficionado herself when her children started playing. She is the mother of four rugby players- 2 in college, 1 in high school and 1 in middle school. Linda loves the sport for the life lessons it teaches and for the community and family that rugby provides. Linda h
Vice President: Tim Cooke
Tim has been a coach and player of many sports over the years- soccer, basketball, football and baseball. The only rugby experience he had was watching his college roommates play. Once asked to help coach rugby two seasons ago, he had to learn the details of the sport quickly. He did and fell in love not only with the game but the family it creates. Tim is looking forward

A THS mom since 2018, I have a daughter who played one sport her whole life and a son who tried every sport imaginable. When he wanted to play rugby, I thought it would just be another sport under our belt. He has never loved another sport more. After being a part of the inaugural season at THS he was hooked.
